For an album boasting songs such as “Stripped, Raped, and Strangled” and “Fucked With A Knife,” the cover doesn’t properly convey the viscera contained in the lyrics. The artwork is no gorier than a sirloin you could purchase at your local butcher.

The Bleeding is the fourth studio album by American death metal band Cannibal Corpse, released in through Metal Blade Records. It is the last album featuring singer and founding member Chris Barnes and is the first album featuring guitarist Rob Barrett.

This is my favorite Cannibal album. From start to finish this is a great album. Stripped Raped and Strangled might be the coolest riff and most catchy CC chorus I know of. This version has an extra track as well. If you are a fan of death metal, buy this!/5().

Occasionally it works, typically (and unsurprisingly) primarily on the tracks that sound closest to Six Feet Under; 'Stripped, Raped And Strangled' is a standout not only for being the best track on the album, but sounding so profoundly unlike Cannibal Corpse with its very clear emphasis on groove over atonal riffs and neck-snapping pacing.
